Length: 39ft 8in Wing span: 39ft Weight: Power: 1 x RR Nene 101 @ 5,100lb.s.t. Details: Naval Fighter HAWKER SEA HAWK FGA.6 by Mike Hill ------------------------------------ Information about how to view my Homepage is included. ------------------------------------ This aircraft is depicted as one serving with 806 Squadron on the HMS Centaur in 1954 in the standard Fleet Air Arm scheme (as far as FSFS will allow). THE MODEL They say that a pretty aircraft always flies well and it is particularly true of this aircraft. There are a couple of minor bleed through problems that have been a bit difficult to fix, but in my opinion they don't detract from the model. The more astute of you will pick up that this colour scheme is really for a Seahawk FB.3 (with the smaller tail) but I am assured that FGA.6s did serve on board the Centaur in a similar scheme. Anyway, I like it. Visually, I think the model looks `right'. I am very pleased with the way the `paint job' turned out - I hope you will be too. It's an easy aircraft to fly and is suitable for carrier operations. NOTE To save space I haven't included the AFX file, but you are welcome to it if you want. Just send me an E-Mail A lot of work has gone into this aircraft and while you are welcome to change anything you want to via the AFX file, I would ask that appropriate credit always be given to the Designer in the main file. It must remain freeware to all. No responsibility accepted for any vagaries in your system. As usual, load the texture files into the Texture Directory and the AIR file into the Sim or Pilots Directory. You'll need BAO's FSFS to run it of course. Any comments will be appreciated (and answered).
